Things to Do With Toddlers in Orihuela Costa
With a one to four year old the question is not what there is to do, it is what works around naps, shade and a pushchair. Orihuela Costa is quite good for this if you pick carefully.

Calm beaches and coves
Smaller coves with gentle entry into the water are far easier than open, breezy beaches. Go early, take a parasol, and expect an hour and a half rather than a morning.
Flat, pushchair-friendly walks
The promenades between the coves are paved and mostly level, so a walk with a pram works even when the beach itself does not. Cafés along the way give you somewhere to stop.
Soft play indoors
Toddlers need somewhere contained where they can climb without traffic, dogs or steps down to the sea. A soft play area is the calmest version of that, and being able to sit within arm's reach with a coffee is what makes it usable for parents. Dream Park has both in one room in Playa Flamenca.
Timing the day
- Mornings before 11am are the coolest and the quietest almost everywhere.
- Keep one activity per outing — toddlers do not do two-stop days well.
- Plan an indoor option for 4-6pm, the hardest stretch of the day.
Practical things worth having in the bag
- Socks: indoor play areas in Spain usually require them for children and adults.
- Sun hat and water for any outdoor plan, including the market.
- A change of clothes — this coast is salty, sandy or sticky most of the year.
Looking for an indoor option?
Dream Park is the indoor play space in Playa Flamenca, inside Centro Comercial Flamenca Beach, with a café for parents in the same room. Regular play needs no booking.
